As I believe, I'm only one of a few from the West Coast, I'm open to a location that is central for everyone and would luv a Southwest location if possible. After listening to the HR Happy Hour call today, I agree it's best to keep it as simple as possible and let it grow and gain momentum from there. It will be too hard trying to accomodate everyone's preference and I'm not sure if you will end up with a clear majority. The best way to keep it informal is to do just that - pick a date, provide hotel suggestions and if you have to meet in the Howard Johnson's rec room so be it - remember it's an "un" conference.

Looking at the map, it looks like I'm smack dab in the middle here in Louisville, KY. And we do have a Southwest hub. Could be fun here in Possibility City (http://www.possibilitycity.com/)

Is a hub for Continental. The far northern mid-West is hardly "central" most of the US tho. Might want to think of a city that has more access to Southwest airlines, lower fares
