HRevolution is an event to allow HR professionals to come together, network, and learn how to use technology effectively in their daily lives. Some of the topics to be covered at the event include...

• Effective ways of using blogs and other forms of social media in recruiting

However, because this is not a traditional conference, these topics are somewhat fluid. They are just the beginning, and the participants and group facilitators will be bringing them to life. You have something to say, and we hope you bring those opinions and ideas with you to the event.

Some background...

Okay... It all started as a short back-and-forth between Trish (@TrishMcFarlane) and Ben (@BenEubanks), and it's started to gather some steam. Yes, I'm talking about the 2009 HR Blogger Experience idea.

The idea came from hearing that traditional conferences may not be addressing HR issues and social media in the way that bloggers do. We're proposing a 1 or 1 1/2 day "experience," centrally located in the U.S., where we can come together in a less structured setting. The goal is to share ideas and experiences so that each person leaves knowing more than they came with.

We are open to any ideas on how the event should work- whether it should be short informal presentations, a panel, or a mix of things. You tell us what you think!

If there's any chance of this actually happening, we need you to help. Tell other HR bloggers (and HR people who should be blogging). Tweet it (#HRevolution). Blog on it. Tell your mom.

So, please check out the tabs on the left. If you join this site as a registered member, you can add/edit anything in this wiki. It will work best if those interested in the project will contribute their ideas and opinions! We'll be checking up on this several times a day, and hopefully you all will participate and keep the ideas flowing!
