I joined this wiki because: Ben set this great space up as a collaborative way for HR Twitter friends to discuss details about the HRevolution Un-conference. Interests:Professional: Blogging about HR and recognition- both as an owner managing HR issues and as a vendor being passionate about our products as a recognition solution. I'm fascinated with the online world as a resource for learning and sharing information on HR, graphic design, technology and employee recognition. Personal: Tech Addict (sounds better than nerd), LOVE to cook, BBQ, love my kids, love a good ale. My dream job: I am working my dream job. My husband bought into Berkeley Tandem, Inc in 1995 as the numbers guy. When I was laid off from my dot.com job in 2001 I started doing graphic design and product design with the company on a part-time bases while my kids were tiny. Now we have bought out all the other partners, have two warehouses we use for fulfillment and 100's of customers nationally. I still primarily work from home (24-7) doing marketing and managing many aspects of the company but, it has become the ideal "Lifestyle entrepreneur" job. We continue to niche our products as "framed certificate recognition" selling online through two retail sites and affiliate sites. We also design, manufacture and fulfill wholesale custom product lines as well as turn-key award programs designed to match corporate graphics. We are proud of our Boy Scout line of award frames sold in the scout shops, in catalogs and online, and CarMax loves our kit frames we developed for them, allowing each dealership to digitally print inscribed certificates and perpetual awards for their employee of the month program. Our products are all about personalizing and framing in the digital world. The design of our awards make them fresh and recipients actually hang them with pride, rather than sticking them in a drawer. Our modular sizes based on the 8 1/2 x 11 page make them affordable.
